Before he joined the national senior team, he played on the national youth team Jordan U-20 and participated in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup while he was the team captain.
Anas is part of the reason why Jordan had finally made it to the 2011 Asian Cup. On match day 6 with Singapore in Amman, he was able to score the winning goal of the match with a header, thanks to a corner kick by his teammate Ahmed Abdul-Haleem at 59 min.
Although Anas attended the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar, he did not have a chance to participate in any of Jordan's matches at all after receiving a severe injury from a friendly match between Jordan and Uzbekistan on January 2, 2011 when the final match result ended 2-2, about 7 days right before their first group stage match with Japan in Qatar.
